The Possum Potters Story

At Possum Potters we use clay to introduce children to art. The company was created by Dalene Groom and Colleen Black in 2003 using the concept of pottery, not only as a creative outlet, but as an educational and therapeutic tool. The realisation of using an age old craft in new and exciting ways to benefit the general development of our children, was the driving force behind the creation of Possum Potters.

Being mothers ourselves, we realise the benefit and joy that children derive from our unique mobile pottery program! Our program is so popular with childcare centres, pre-schools, kindergartens, parents and most importantly, the children, that we are invited back again and again!
