Possum Potters Classes

At Possum Potters the basic concept is fun, creativity and learning. The Possum Potters program for children is perfect in it's simplicity. We have a wide range of delightful pottery products and characters which have specifically been designed so that children as young as three and four years old, can master the creation of a durable piece of art. Our pottery program is forever evolving as we try to design themes and items that will be interesting, educational and above all fun for all the children.

Pre-School Extra Mural Activities

With this option children participate on an elective basis as the activity is parent funded. Lessons can take place either during school time or directly before or after school time depending on circumstances and what suits the schools program best. Lessons take place once a week at a set time and last for approximately 30 minutes. The children construct and then paint & glaze an item over a number of weeks.

Handprint Plaque

Children will be introduced to clay work through a fun and creative one lesson activity. Parents will receive a meaningful keepsake from their child in the form of a unique once off clay hand and/or footprint. This makes an ideal gift for Mothers, Fathers and other relatives.

Two Lesson Themed Activities

This option consists of two lessons aimed at making a specific item as a special gift to parents for Mother's & Father's Day, Christmas, Easter and birthdays.

School Logo Stamp Activity

This activity usually takes place towards the end of the year and consists of the kinder children making an imprint on clay using the kindergarten or school's logo. Possum Potters will have stamps made up of the logo. Each child's name and the date is added to the medal to make a memorable keepsake for the whole family. This can be a 1 or 2 session activity with the children painting the logo medals using gold, silver or bronze paint during the 2nd session. Each medal will hang on a gold rope and will be individually packaged for each child.

Children's Birthday Parties

Possum Potters and Percy will make your childs next birthday party a relaxing and memorable event for all.
We can tailor the pottery/ceramic activities to suit a specific age, gender and theme. Our fully mobile pottery/ceramics instructors will come to your chosen venue for a fun and creative pottery or ceramics session. The children can create their own interpretation of a specific item or theme using potters clay and building by hand or they can create their own drawing on a ceramic plate and glaze it. The item will then be fired and delivered back to the host family fully packaged.

Adult Ceramic Parties

With Possum Potters fully mobile ceramic service, creativity is at your fingertips! You supply the venue, refreshments and the guests and Possum Potters will take care of the rest. Make a truly unique gift for someone special. We have an extensive range of greenware and bisque ware to choose from. We can also tailor the ceramic party to suit your particular theme (Hen's Party; Baby Shower; Retirement etc). It's the ideal way to relax and socialise.
